77 Days to December 31: The Timeline for Both Ways to Buy Check Point Email Security

· 7 min read · Email Security

Today is October 15. The year-end offer on Managed Email Security applies to an agreement signed by December 31, 2026, which is 77 days away, eleven weeks to the day. That sounds like a long time until you subtract a two-week trial, a renewal notice window, Thanksgiving week and the last week of December, when little gets signed. This post lays out both ways to buy Check Point Email Security through cAIberOps, a Check Point partner, on one calendar: the license on its own, where we beat the written quote you hold, like for like, and the managed service on the year-end offer. The same dates apply to both, with one difference, and the difference is in the first section.

In short: the deadline is an agreement signed by December 31, 2026, and it applies to the managed offer, not to the license route. The license route is priced against the written quote you hold and has no year-end clock; its clock is your renewal date. The one thing to send this week is that quote, or a mailbox count, and the comparison usually comes back within two business days; send it here and the calendar below shows what happens after.

The two routes and the two clocks

Route one is the license alone, bought through us as a Check Point partner and run by you, with your own admin or IT provider. It has no price list. Send us the written quote you hold from any other vendor or reseller, like for like. That means the same product category and protection tier, the same number of users, the same term, dated within the last 30 days, license only against license only, issued to your business for a paid standalone license or subscription. We beat that quote. Guaranteed, on those terms. A beat, not a match. The clock on this route is not December 31; it is your renewal date, and the notice window in your current agreement that sits in front of it.

Route two is Managed Email Security: the Check Point license and our managed service together, for a business that wants email security off its plate. It is $6.40 per user per month on the year-end offer ($5.60 for registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits; $8 list). The offer is 20% off (30% for registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits) on a 12-month Managed Email Security agreement signed by December 31, 2026, new customers only, no onboarding fee. The clock on this route is the signature date: what has to be dated by December 31 is the signed agreement, and the price on it holds for the 12-month term.

Both routes start with the same free two-week trial, and both are the same product, Check Point Email Security: the Advanced Protect package on the managed route, and on the license route the package that matches your quote.

This week, from October 15: pick the route and gather one document

On the license route, the one document is the quote. Pull the renewal quote you already hold, or ask your vendor or IT provider for a written one. The quote should show the product and protection tier, the number of users or mailboxes, the term, the date, and the license line on its own rather than folded into a bundle. A list price from a website, a bundle price, a verbal number, or a managed quote set against a bare license does not qualify, so the ask to your vendor is specific: an itemized, dated quote for the license. While you are in that agreement, find the notice clause. Many subscription agreements renew on their own unless notice is given some weeks before the renewal date; the number varies, so check yours and write the date down.

On the managed route, the one document is a mailbox count: how many people have a mailbox, and whether you are a registered 501(c)(3). That is enough for us to send back the exact monthly and 12-month figures; the cost post has the worked numbers for 10, 25 and 50 users.

Week of October 19: the comparison comes back

Send the quote or the count and we usually come back within two business days. On the license route, what comes back is the Check Point package that matches your tier, quoted for the same count and the same term, with the price against your quote and a date to open the trial. On the managed route it is the figures for your count, the trial date, and the agreement at the offer price. If the quote you sent does not qualify, we say which condition it misses, so you can go back to the vendor once rather than twice.

Weeks of October 26 and November 2: the free two-week trial

The free two-week email security assessment is the same on both routes. Check Point Email Security connects to your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace by API, no MX change, in Monitor only mode; during the assessment we quarantine nothing and your current filter keeps working. At the end we show you what reached your inboxes and, for each example that matters, what we would have done in the same situation. You keep the report whether or not you buy. Start it in the last week of October and it finishes in the second week of November, with the report in hand before the renewal conversation and about seven weeks before December 31.

The latest sensible start is December 1, and the room after it is narrow. A trial that starts on Monday, November 16 finishes on November 30, the Monday after Thanksgiving. A trial that starts on December 1 finishes on December 15, which leaves a week and a half of working days before Christmas to read the report, decide, and sign. After that there is little room between the report and the signature date.

Week of November 9: decide, and give notice if you are leaving

With the trial report and the comparison in hand, the decision is the same question on both routes: is this the product you want on your mail next year, and at this price? On the license route, if the answer is yes, this is the week to give your current vendor the notice your agreement calls for, no later than the date you wrote down in week one, so the renewal does not roll over on its own. If that date comes earlier than this week, it wins, and the trial should open the week of October 26 rather than later. On the managed route the same notice applies if you are leaving another filter; on our side the only step is to confirm the mailbox count, which is set at the order and reviewed at renewal.

Weeks of November 16 through December 18: sign and switch

On the managed route, the agreement is signed, the count is confirmed, and the connection made for the trial moves from Monitor only to Prevent (Inline) on the day you say. Retiring the old filter is your job or your IT provider's, on your date; we do not touch your MX records. The two-session onboarding, the business-day quarantine review and the monthly summary start then, and the one-time SaaS security posture report of your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant is delivered within the first 90 days at no charge.

On the license route, the order is placed, the license is attached to the account you run, and Check Point's technical support under the support plan on our quote to you is yours from that day; we tell you which plan and who to call before you buy. The old product is retired by your side on the day you choose, and the monthly check-in from us begins: a short written report, an optional call, and a renewal heads-up about 30 days out next year.

Weeks of December 21 and December 28: the deadline

December 31, 2026 is a Thursday. An agreement signed on that day carries the offer price; an agreement signed on January 4 does not. After December 31, Managed Email Security is still available at the $8 list price; only the offer price ends. We would rather the signature sat in a November week than in the last three working days of the year, and the calendar above is built so it can. If your renewal is not until spring, the managed offer still has to be signed by December 31 to carry the price, and the license route has no year-end clock; the quote and the beat work the same way in March as they do today.

What the price beat and the offer do not cover

Nonprofit pricing applies to Managed Email Security only; the license route is priced against your quote regardless. The price beat is for a license sold through us against a qualifying quote; we do not publish a license price list, and we do not beat a managed quote with a bare license or the other way around. Managed Email Security is email only; add-ons are priced separately on the services page. We do not sell penetration tests or vulnerability scans, and we do not certify compliance; the product supports the relevant parts of frameworks such as HIPAA, the FTC Safeguards Rule, NIST 800-171 and CMMC, not the whole framework.

The dates, in one place

From October 15, pick the route and gather the quote or the mailbox count, and find the notice clause in your current agreement. Week of October 19, the comparison or the figures come back, usually within two business days. Week of October 26, open the two-week trial; the latest sensible start is December 1. Week of November 9, decide, and if you are leaving another product give your current vendor the notice your agreement calls for. November 16 to December 18, sign and switch, on your date. December 31, 2026, a Thursday, is the last day a signed managed agreement carries the offer price; the license route runs on your renewal date instead.

How to start

Send the quote you hold, or tell us how many people have a mailbox and whether you are a registered 501(c)(3). We usually come back within two business days with the comparison or the figures, and a date to open the two-week trial. We work with small and medium businesses and nonprofits nationwide, including Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. To start, book a free 15-minute call, or see the services page. The full terms of the license route are in how the license-only route works, and the twelve questions cover what does and does not qualify.
