Managed Endpoint Protection for small and medium businesses
cAIberOps (SY-ber-ops) supplies the endpoint detection and response (EDR) license on each laptop, desktop and server, and runs it for you as a managed detection and response (MDR) service: a US-based team that investigates the alerts, isolates an infected machine and tells you what happened. The tool and the people who run it, one price: starts at $8 per endpoint per month, with 24/7 monitoring and support. Nationwide, including Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.
Built on Check Point Endpoint Security (formerly Harmony Endpoint).

Protection on the device, in plain words
Anti-ransomware with rollback
Watches for ransomware behavior and illegitimate file encryption, signature-less, and restores encrypted files from its snapshots so the business keeps working.
Behavioral analysis
Detects and blocks malware mutations and fileless attacks by their real-time behavior, the attacks a signature list has not seen.
Bot and call-home blocking
An infected machine tries to reach its command server. That connection is cut, so stolen data stops leaving and the operator loses the machine.
Exploit protection
A hijacked legitimate program (a browser, a PDF reader, Office) is shut down the moment it is exploited, and the attack chain is remediated.
Sandboxing and file sanitization
Unknown downloads are detonated in a sandbox; documents are delivered with active content removed, the original on request.
Phishing and password protection
Unknown phishing pages are blocked in the browser in real time, and a work password typed into an outside site is stopped.
USB and port control
Storage and other input and output devices need authorization before they connect, which closes the door walked through by a found USB stick.
Forensics and threat hunting
On detection, forensic collection and an attack report start on the device, mapped to the MITRE ATT&CK framework, with the collected events searchable for hunting.
What happens when something fires
Detection is the start of the work, not the end of it. Here is the sequence on a real alert, with the machine protected the whole way.
Detect
A behavior, a file or a connection trips the policy we set on the device. The process is stopped there, and the device captures the forensic data at that moment: entry point, process tree, what changed.
Investigate
We establish scope and root cause: which user, which process, which other machines, whether the file is what it claims to be. Investigation with no time cap.
Contain and restore
The machine is isolated from the network if needed and encrypted files are restored from snapshots. A false positive is released and excluded properly, not silenced.
Forensic report to you
A plain-English write-up: what happened, how it got in, what was changed, what we did, what we changed in the policy so it does not repeat.
Monthly report
The incident, the write-up and the month's blocked and investigated events, in the report you hand to your insurer or your board.
What we do with the alerts
- 24/7 monitoring and support: the platform watches around the clock, and a person answers at any hour and acts on it. Review, release requests and reports happen seven days a week.
- US-based team only. No offshore desk, no outsourced night shift.
- Behavioral alerts investigated with no time cap
- Infected machines isolated from the network and brought back clean
- Agent health watched: offline machines, outdated clients, policy drift
- Quarantine reviewed and false positives released and excluded properly
- Agent rollout planned and done in the onboarding sessions
- Policy tuning as your fleet and your work change
- Monthly report you can hand to your insurer
- No onboarding fee, no multi-year contract
Coverage is scoped on the call: operating systems, servers, remote staff and what you run today.
Insurance questionnaires ask for this
Endpoint detection and response on each device is one of the controls carriers now ask about before writing or renewing a cyber policy, next to MFA and backups. The monthly report answers the question in writing.
Already have a quote?
If you run endpoint protection yourself, or your IT provider does, and you only want the license: send the written quote from the vendor you use or are about to buy. We beat it with our license, like for like: a tier with the same capabilities on the device, the same device count, the same term.
Prevention and tuning, not a flood of alerts
Some providers resell an EDR license, leave the tenant on defaults and forward whatever it fires. You end up with a full inbox, false positives, and a response that says: see attached. We do the opposite.
Prevention first
The policy is set to prevent, not to detect and notify. What can be stopped on the device is stopped on the device, so fewer events ever need a human.
Tuned to your business
Exclusions, policies and agent settings are configured for your software and your people, then adjusted as they change. A quiet console is the result of that work, not of looking away.
A message from us means something
When you hear from us it is a finding with a decision attached, not a forwarded alert. Our clients see few alerts because we handle the noise before it reaches them.
How it works, start to finish
Scope
A short call: how many devices, which operating systems, servers, remote staff, and any quote you already hold.
Pilot
A few machines first, in the onboarding session, so you see the effect on performance before the rest.

Managed Endpoint Protection
No setup or onboarding fee. No multi-year contract. Coverage scoped on the call.
Email + Endpoint Bundle
Starts at $12.40 per user per month, includes one endpoint per user. Additional endpoints $8 per endpoint per month. Saves $2 per user versus buying separately; one team correlating inbox and devices, one monthly report.
License only
Any vendor's written quote dated within 30 days: a tier with the same capabilities on the device, the same device count and term, license compared with license. We set up the trial with you and stay reachable for guidance.
Why the price starts at $8: you choose the coverage
The starting price includes the full threat-prevention set on this page: anti-ransomware with restore, behavioral analysis, bot and exploit protection, sandboxing and file sanitization, phishing and password protection, USB and port control, forensics and threat hunting. That is the top tier of protection on the device, and for a typical small and medium business it is the whole requirement.
Included
- Anti-ransomware with restore
- Behavioral analysis
- Bot and call-home blocking
- Exploit protection
- Sandboxing and file sanitization
- Phishing and password protection
- USB and port control
- Forensics and threat hunting
Optional, when a requirement calls for it
- Web Threat Protection: browser-level protection on downloads and sites
- Full disk encryption
- Removable media encryption
- Data loss prevention for uploads, clipboard and print
- Extended detection and response across endpoint events
Options are quoted on the call, per endpoint or per user. No tier names, no upsell: the starting price already carries the protection that matters.
Monthly prices, billed yearly.
Why cAIberOps (SY-ber-ops)
The engineers who set your policy are the ones who investigate your alerts. US-based, seven days a week, no tier-one queue.
US-based team only
The people reading your console sit in the United States, on the same clock as you. No work is handed to an offshore desk, no night shift you have not spoken to. That matters when a questionnaire asks where your security data is handled, and it matters more at 11pm when a machine needs isolating and you want the person on the phone to be the one who set your policy.
We did the work on our own machines first
A detection at 11:42 pm on a signed software update, with the user logged off: the platform stopped the process tree. We verified the publisher certificate, the sibling files and the file reputation before restoring, then opened the vendor case for an exclusion that survives updates. That is an investigation, not a forwarded alert.
Investigation with no time cap
An alert is a question, not an answer. We establish scope, root cause and what else was touched, however long it takes, because a half-investigated incident is how the second machine goes down a week later. Providers that bill by the ticket close early; our price is per endpoint, so the only thing that closes an investigation is the answer.
One team across inbox and devices
Attacks arrive by email and run on the machine. Bundled with Managed Email Security, the same engineers see both halves: the message that carried the attachment and the process that opened it. One policy decision covers both, one write-up explains the whole chain, and you get one monthly report instead of two vendors pointing at each other.
Endpoint protection questions
What is managed endpoint protection?
Endpoint detection and response (EDR) on each laptop, desktop and server, run by a provider. cAIberOps (SY-ber-ops) supplies the license and the team that investigates the alerts, isolates an infected machine, restores files and reports monthly, for one per-endpoint price.
Does it slow the machines down?
A lightweight agent runs on each device. Rollout happens in the onboarding session, a few machines first, so you see the effect before the rest.
Do you monitor 24/7?
Yes. Monitoring and support are 24/7. If a machine needs isolating at 11pm, call and we act. Investigation write-ups and reports follow seven days a week.
How much does managed endpoint protection cost?
It starts at $8 per endpoint per month, license and managed service included, monthly prices billed yearly. No onboarding fee and no multi-year contract. Coverage is scoped on a short call, and options such as Web Threat Protection are priced per user on top.
What is the difference between EDR and antivirus?
Antivirus matches files against a list of known malware. Endpoint detection and response also watches behavior on the device, so it can stop ransomware and fileless attacks a list has not seen, restore encrypted files from snapshots and record what happened for the investigation.
Does it work when a laptop is offline?
Yes. Anti-malware, anti-ransomware, behavioral analysis and forensics run on the device and keep working without a connection. Sandboxing of new downloads and bot blocking resume when the machine reconnects, and logs and forensics upload then.
Can we bundle it with email?
Yes. The Email + Endpoint Bundle is Managed Email Security plus Managed Endpoint Protection. Starts at $12.40 per user per month, includes one endpoint per user. Additional endpoints $8 per endpoint per month. Saves $2 per user versus buying separately.
Is this the same as MDR?
In industry terms the tool is EDR and the service is MDR, managed detection and response. Managed Endpoint Protection is both: the EDR license on the device and the people who run it, with 24/7 monitoring and support, for one price. There is no separate MDR fee.
What happens when a machine is infected?
Illegitimate encryption is stopped and encrypted files are restored from the platform's snapshots. We investigate the forensic report, isolate the machine from the network if needed, and bring it back clean. You get a plain-English account of what happened.
Which devices are covered?
Windows and macOS laptops and desktops, Windows and Linux servers, and virtual desktops, scoped on the call. Remote staff are covered wherever they work.
Where is your team?
In the United States. Your alerts are investigated by US-based staff only; no work is handed to an offshore desk.
Does it replace our antivirus?
Yes. Anti-malware is part of the platform, so a separate antivirus is not needed. How the built-in Windows or macOS protection coexists with it is set on the call.
What does the license include?
The full threat-prevention set listed on this page, on each device. Options such as disk encryption or data loss prevention are added only when a requirement calls for them, quoted per endpoint.
Fifteen minutes to scope your devices.
How many, which operating systems, what you run today and the quote you hold. We come back with a price per endpoint, or a beaten quote if you only want the license.
