Most of what we write about is Managed Email Security, where we run the platform for you. This post is about the other way to buy from us: the Check Point license on its own, through cAIberOps as your Check Point partner, with a price promise, a free trial first, and a monthly check-in that a license sale does not usually include. It is for two kinds of business, and we want to be plain about both.
Who this is for
The first is a business that already pays for a competitor's product and is considering a change: an email security platform such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, Barracuda or Abnormal AI; an endpoint product such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne or Sophos; or another category where Check Point has a comparable product. You know what you have, you know what it costs, and you want to know whether Check Point would do the job for less.
The second is a business that has not bought a dedicated security product and relies on what came with Microsoft 365: Exchange Online Protection, included with the business plans that carry Exchange Online mailboxes, and Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 on Business Premium. Microsoft's own documentation lists Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 as part of Business Premium, so on that plan you already have a second filtering layer before adding a third. Microsoft's filtering is real and it stays in place. If you have decided you want a dedicated layer on top of it and you have the people to run it, this is the route.
In both cases the common thread is that you want the license and you intend to operate it yourself, or your IT provider will. If you want us to operate it, that is Managed Email Security, a different service at a different price, described at the end.
What we are, and what you get
cAIberOps is a Check Point partner. Check Point licenses bought through us are Check Point licenses: the same engines, in your own Infinity Portal account, with Check Point's support behind the license on the plan the license carries. Technical support for the product comes from Check Point under the support plan on your quote; we tell you which plan it is and who you call before you buy. We quote the licenses, we register the opportunity with Check Point, and we handle the paperwork and the renewal dates so you do not have to learn a distributor's portal.
That covers the Check Point products a small or medium business is likely to buy: Check Point Email Security (formerly Harmony Email & Collaboration; Check Point presented it as a new name for the same product) for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace mail; Harmony Endpoint for laptops and servers; Check Point Workforce AI Security (its GenAI Protect product) for the AI tools your staff use; and the rest of the Harmony line, plus Quantum firewall subscriptions, where a comparable competitor product exists. If you are not sure whether what you run has a Check Point equivalent, ask; the answer is usually a product name and a tier.
The price promise
If you have a written, current quote from another vendor or reseller for the same type of product, send it to us. Same type means the same product category and protection tier as the Check Point product we would quote, the same number of users or devices, the same term, and a quote dated within the last 30 days; license only against license only. The quote has to be issued to your business, for a paid standalone license, and we may confirm it with the vendor. Apples to apples, we will beat that price. Guaranteed, on those terms. It applies to the renewal quote for the license you hold today and are thinking of leaving. It also applies to a quote for a higher tier you want to step up to for the added features; we beat that higher-tier quote with the matching Check Point tier. If your quote is for a lower tier than the Check Point product you have in mind, we beat it with the Check Point tier that matches it and quote the higher tier separately, so you can see what the step up costs.
We can make that promise because of how this route is built. The license is Check Point's; the work on our side is the quote, the registration, the trial and the monthly check-in, not a daily operation. We are a small partner, not one of the large resellers you would reach by default; a lower price and a person who stays on the account are the reasons to buy here. We do not publish a license-only price list because the right number depends on the product, the tier, the count and the term, and because Check Point prices move. What we publish is the promise: a beat, not a match, on this route. Bring the quote and we come back with the comparison, usually within two business days.
The free trial first
We would rather you see the product on your own mail or your own endpoints before you sign anything.
For email, the trial is our free two-week email security assessment: Check Point Email Security connected to your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace by API, no MX change, in Monitor only mode. Monitor only means the platform inspects mail after delivery and reports; it does not sit in the mail path. During the assessment we set it to take no action: it watches what arrives and how it flows, and we quarantine nothing; no message is held, moved or deleted. Your current filter keeps working. Check Point's own documentation sets the default Email Security trial at 14 days with the full feature set, which is why our assessment runs two weeks. At the end we show you what reached your inboxes and, for each example that matters, what we would have done in the same situation, so you can decide whether there is value in it for you. You get the written report and the walkthrough, and you keep the report whether or not you buy.
For endpoint and the other products, we set up Check Point's own trial for you, in your own environment, and we are on the call when it starts and when it ends. For Harmony Endpoint, Check Point's admin guide describes a free 30-day trial on a new Infinity Portal account. Trial length and terms are Check Point's, and we tell you what they are before anything is installed.
What comes with the license: a monthly check-in
This is the part a license alone does not usually include, and it is the reason to buy through us rather than from a web form.
Once a month, for the term of a license bought through us, we send you a short written report and offer a call: what the platform's monthly report shows (from the report you export, or read-only access you choose to grant us), what changed, what Check Point released since the last check-in and whether we think you should turn those features on, and any open question you have about the console. When Check Point adds a protection that needs a permission in your tenant or a setting you have not seen, we walk you through it rather than leaving it to a release note. Before your renewal, typically about 30 days out, you hear it from us, with the count checked.
Think of it as a customer success manager for the product, not an operator. You or your IT provider run the quarantine, the policies and the day-to-day. Our job is to keep you current on what the product can do, confirm you are on the tier you paid for, and keep the renewal from surprising you.
What it is not
License only means license only. We do not watch your quarantine, release your held mail, tune your policies or investigate what your staff forward; those are the managed service. This is not a penetration test or a vulnerability scan, and we do not sell either. We do not write your policies or certify compliance; the products support the relevant parts of frameworks such as HIPAA, the FTC Safeguards Rule, NIST 800-171 and CMMC, not the whole framework, and we will not tell you otherwise.
If you would rather hand it off
If reading "you run the quarantine" made you tired, the other route is Managed Email Security: the license and the managed service together at $8 per user per month, and through December 31, 2026, new customers who sign a 12-month agreement get 20% off, which is $6.40 per user per month; registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits get 30% instead, $5.60. New customers only, no onboarding fee. That offer is for the managed agreement; the license-only route is priced against your quote, as above. What the first 90 days look like is in an earlier post.
How to start
Send the quote you have, or tell us which Microsoft 365 plan you are on and how many users. We come back with the Check Point product and tier that matches, the price against your quote, and a date for the trial. We work with small and medium businesses and nonprofits nationwide, including Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. To start, book a free 15-minute call, or see the services page.
